Every article here is written from code that is merged and readable, and names the files it was read out of. Where we cannot prove something yet, this page says so instead of guessing.

6 of 13 settings groups have an article. The remaining 7 are listed below, unwritten, with the reason.

All 6 articles are listed below. Search narrows the list when JavaScript is available; without it, the whole list is here to read.

  • Reading ticket status without colour
Status is carried by shape and hatching as well as colour. The shape draws whether colourblind mode is on or off, and screen readers are told either way.
    Appearance · updated 2026-08-20
  • Holding an order, and when it comes back
Three ways to say how long — a preset, a custom timer, or an exact time — and the four things the app refuses to accept as a hold.
    Holds · updated 2026-08-20
  • How a screen arranges its tickets
Four layouts — one row of columns, a grid, two rails split by order type, or a vertical take-out list — and the one a new screen starts on.
    Display · updated 2026-08-20
  • Sounds, tones and the repeat alert
Four events get their own tone, the volume is the app's own rather than the tablet's, and a new order re-alerts every 30 seconds until acknowledged.
    Sounds · updated 2026-08-20
  • Language and text size on a screen
Each screen can run in its own language, the language does not have to be downloaded, and changing text size does not restart the screen.
    General · updated 2026-08-19
  • Which printers and connections are supported
The four printer brands the app is built for, the four ways it can reach one, and what this build cannot do yet.

Every settings group

These are the thirteen groups of settings a screen has. An article is listed against a group, or the group is marked unwritten. Nothing here is filled in with an article that does not exist.

  • General

Video library

There are no videos yet. Not one has been filmed, because there is nothing deployed to film. These are the ten tasks they are owed for, so the gap is visible rather than implied by an empty page.

What isn't here yet

Where the videos will live

Help videos aren't live yet. We haven't picked a video host, so nothing is embedded here today.

Why nothing has been filmed

There's nothing to record yet. No tablet has run this app, so a video walkthrough today would be a video of something that doesn't exist. These get filmed once there's a real product on a real screen.

The settings articles that aren't written

These settings articles aren't written yet — there's no settings screen on the tablet to document, and an article describing a screen that doesn't exist would be a false promise to someone reading it mid-shift. They'll be written once the settings surface ships.

Help in Spanish

Spanish help articles aren't published yet. They need a Spanish speaker with kitchen experience to write them — never a translation of the English ones. The data pipeline already supports Spanish content; it's waiting on a person, not a build.
